About eFoundation
eFoundation was formed in 2022 by Australian organisation e-THREAD. While eTHREAD’s objective is committed to promoting environmentally sustainable garment solutions to help divert unwanted clothing away from landfill, our family-owned business also wants to help drive change at a community and personal level. As part of our commitment towards circularity, our philosophy is based on creating an equitable society that benefits both its people and the environment, where resources are valued, and nothing goes to waste. This idea to utilise our services to help support the lives of others is what led to the formation of eFoundation.
eFoundation was established as a charity with a vision to assist the vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our diverse communities who are currently facing hardships, including those affected by homelessness, poverty, or displacement. One of the many challenges people experiencing homelessness face, is the disconnect between themselves and their societies. This social isolation impacts their basic right to a standard of living which includes access to quality clothing and items to help maintain their dignity and self-worth as valuable members of our communities.
Our aim
Provide essential clothing and items
Provide essential clothing and items (including blankets and towels) to those impacted by homelessness, poverty, or displacement
Supporting Community Shelters
Collaborate directly with welfare organisations, homeless shelters, women’s community shelters, and asylum seekers centres to directly distribute clothing and essentials.
Working to Improve Well-being
Support initiatives that improve the well- being of our communities and its members
Natural Disaster Relief
Offer clothing and essential items to people impacted by natural disasters.
Our role
We are committed to working towards a circular society that benefits both its people and the environment. Through the frequent supply of clothes donated to eFoundation, our role is to help create sustainable communities through platforms that help donors improve the lives of people in need.
